About Us
The Singapore Shawl
Stories carried through orchids, colour and wearable design.
Founded by designer Shelley Siu, the brand brings together heritage storytelling and a social purpose that has shaped its work for more than two decades.
It Began with a Story — and a Purpose
Wearable stories inspired by orchids, heritage and social purpose.
In 2003, Shelley started The Singapore Shawl with two ideas close to her heart: to tell stories through design, and to create meaningful work for women who needed greater flexibility and opportunity.
More than two decades later, she remains close to the work — shaping the collections, the stories behind them and the personal service customers experience.

What Guides the Brand
Three ideas continue to guide the brand: Country, Community and Environment.
Country
Celebrating flora, culture and living heritage through design.
Community
Creating opportunities for women through meaningful and flexible work.
Environment
Keeping a thoughtful approach to materials, making and wearable longevity.
The Story, Worn Today
Today, that storytelling continues through botanical collections inspired by some of Singapore’s most recognisable blooms.
